Ruth Johnston is a children’s writer who likes rhyme and whimsy. She is inspired by magic and mischief, danger and adventure but also likes to write about family (especially annoying brothers, of which she has had lots of experience!), friends, and messy food. Her favourite colour is purple, her favourite ice cream flavour is chocolate peanut butter, and she is really good at Mario Kart.
Ruth Johnston lives in Canada, where she takes care of a small garden and is busy writing poems for a full-length book. Right now you can read her poems in Small Wonder, a quarterly magazine for kids and their grown-ups.
